Nancy O'Dell's radio career started as a journalist and anchor for WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. She then worked as an anchor in the morning and a reporter on WCBD TV. Her reporting of the ineffective response of the police in response to DUI cases in Charleston resulted in an investigation being conducted by the State Law Enforcement Division, which led to a change in direction from the state authorities on DUI cases. The Associated Press honored Ms. O'Dell by awarding her the Best Report of the Years award in the entirety of South Carolina Media. O'Dell later worked at NBC's Miami-based station WTVJ-TV as an investigative reporter and anchor, prior to her joining Access Hollywood in the role of weekend co-anchor. Alongside her work as a lead anchor on Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell is also an anchor for NBC News' Today and as well for Dateline NBC. She's covered events such like The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as well as co-hosting a number of shows that were pre-showarrivals for The Emmys and the Golden Globes. She co-hosted both The Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants.
